About the Opportunity:

FedTec seeks a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer with specific expertise in ServiceNow's RPA (Robotic Process Automation) modules. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow development, be capable of designing and implementing automated workflows, and play a critical role in optimizing business processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored ServiceNow RPA solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Position: ServiceNow Developer (RPA Module Specialist)

Work Location: Reston, VA (Remote)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement customized ServiceNow solutions, with a focus on RPA modules and workflows.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand automation requirements, gather technical specifications, and translate them into efficient RPA-driven solutions.
  • Build, configure, and optimize ServiceNow RPA workflows to automate repetitive business processes, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Integrate RPA processes with existing ServiceNow modules, such as ITSM, HRSD, and other third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ServiceNow RPA deployments, ensuring continuous optimization and performance enhancement.
  • Provide technical expertise during ServiceNow platform upgrades, including testing and validation of RPA workflows in new platform versions.
  • Collaborate with teams in designing, developing, and maintaining APIs for seamless integration between ServiceNow and other platforms.
  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing existing automation scripts, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including system designs, workflow diagrams, test plans, and user guides to ensure clarity and ease of maintenance.
  • Train and mentor junior developers and administrators on ServiceNow development and RPA best practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development, with at least 2+ years focusing on ServiceNow RPA modules.
  • Strong proficiency in ServiceNow development, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflow configuration, and platform integrations.
  • Proven experience with ServiceNow RPA modules, including designing and implementing automation workflows, bots, and integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of web services, APIs, and data integration practices (REST, SOAP).
  • Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, including ITSM, CMDB, ITOM, and HRSD.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies for project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering efficient automation solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • ServiceNow certifications (Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
  • Experience with additional automation tools or platforms outside of ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and DevOps practices.
