Job Description

THE STORY

In 2012, we set out to reinvent men’s underwear. Since then, we’ve used the same solutions-oriented approach to reimagine a full range of menswear staples—from featherlight button ups, to first-of-its-kind denim. Blending timeless styles with innovative details and materials, our clothes are uniquely designed to help guys move through their day with confidence (even if they’re just hangin’ in their sweats).

We are looking for passionate, proactive, and strategic problem-solvers to join our growing team. If that sounds like you…keep reading.

THE ROLE

Mack Weldon is looking for a Senior Apparel Designer to join our fast-paced environment, who will collaborate and push forward their creative perspective to our product assortment. Reporting to the SVP of Design & Merchandising, your responsibilities will include executing the seasonal design concepts for all product categories, drive innovation through fabrics and technical details, provide sketches and CAD artwork. You'll collaborate with Planning and Product Development leads to execute against a seasonal line list, meet calendar deadlines and align on technical fit of all product.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work alongside the Design department to lead the process from concept to production
  • Provide market research to initiate R&D for new product development
  • Execution of flat sketches, print & pattern CAD
  • Partner on seasonal fabric selection and oversee the successful execution of new fabrics
  • Collaborate with Merchandise Planning to identify seasonal big ideas or other market trends
  • Execute seasonal line list and meet product development calendar deadlines
  • Partner with Wholesale and Retail teams for market needs

WHAT WILL SET YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

  • 8+ years experience in multi-category Men's design including Knits, Wovens and Outerwear

  • High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and PLM
  • Strong communication, presentation skills and attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative and able to quickly establish credibility within the team to impact decisions through both formal and informal influence

WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL

  • We search for the smarter way. Everything we do, from products to experiences to processes, is built with research, ingenuity, and quality. We embrace efficiency in all of its forms – but especially in how we work together as a team, the less bureaucracy the better.
  • We invite generously because more perspectives make us better. We think diversity of thoughts and experiences is a strength. We check our egos at the door, actively solicit other’s perspectives, and always assume the best intentions. We build relationships that last.
  • We believe that real confidence comes from knowing, not showing. We operate with a steady conviction and are built for the long haul, not to chase the latest fads. That doesn’t mean we can’t be assertive, expressive or take risks.  But we do so with an informed approach knowing we have the substance to back it up.
  • We support the good ones and believe they can finish first. We believe that being good is the most sustainable strategy for success. We work with ethical and humane partners and always strive to do what is right, even if it is at a cost. We act with integrity, own our mistakes, and put in the effort to do our best.

  • Hybrid office model (in office M/T/Th)
