Job Description

We are currently searching for a Full-time Registered Nurse to work Mondays - Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include: prepare patients for procedures; provides care for patients in recovery and actively participates in all Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities.
Position Summary
Greets and admit patients to the pre-/post-operative area
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care using the nursing process and take into account individual patient needs
Assesses patient's condition on arrival and provide physical or emotional suport as needed
Evaluate, observes, and treats patients under local anesthesia
Maintains accurate and complete records of patients' surgical experience
Start's IV's, gives medications, and prepares drugs and solutions per physician protocols
Prepares for and manages immediate postoperative care, including transporting patients to recovery room, communicating patient needs, and providing patient and family training
Qualifications
Associate's degree required
Current Tennessee RN License
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
