Regional Sales Manager - New York Sales in Large Construction & Forestry Equipment Industry)
Salary Range: $140k to $150k plus bonus depending on many factors including experience and skill set.

This position is involved with the sale, rental, or leasing of all new and used equipment and “all-makes” equipment, promoting the Parts and Service departments and for meeting customer’s needs and growing market share, while maintaining acceptable levels of gross profit and attaining sales unit targets.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Support sales professionals/account managers to strengthen key customer relationships and drive deal development through established sales process
  • Creates development plans for direct reports which includes identifying training needs
  • Ensures sales metrics and goals are met for a specific region or customer segment
  • Ensures that a consistent sales process is followed for their region and customer segment
  • Recognize and reward team and individual sales professionals while ensuring consistent execution and accountability to the sales process
  • Ensures the sales document process is established and followed by sales team members for their region or customer segment
  • Provides input to the Marketing Manager in the development of the whole goods marketing strategy for their region or customer segment
  • Works with Corporate Service and Corporate Parts Managers to promote customer satisfaction
  • Manages budgets for a specific region or customer segment, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives
  • Manages sales department equipment including vehicles and sales office equipment
  • May assist with creating the Sales Department business plan
  • May oversee used and new whole goods inventory levels and metrics
  • Handles difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. Fosters ongoing Company loyalty with Customers. 
  • Maintains a high level of discretion when discussing sales strategy and a high level of confidentiality when dealing with customer lists, price lists and other documents reasonably assumed to be of a proprietary nature.
  • Practices ethical and professional standards when performing sales related duties at branch.
  • Participates in online and dealer provided equipment training and certification.
  • Ensures a clean, organized and safe work environment by adhering to a safety mindset and wearing all personal protective equipment when needed.
  • Presents a clean and professional appearance when representing the company. Business casual attire and well groomed.
  • Care for company issued tools and equipment such as vehicles, computers, cell phone and other job-related resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Several years of successful experience meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a highly competitive outside sales role. 
  • Previous experience in industrial, construction or heavy equipment retail or rental sales is preferred
  • Experience in high dollar capital equipment sales will be considered.
