MedCare Pediatric Group is looking for a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team to provide, evaluate, and implement physical therapy services to pediatric clients. Join our amazing Home Health team today and become a part of the MedCare family!

Qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited school program for Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)- new grads are welcomed to apply!
• Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Texas by anticipated start date
• Experience in pediatrics and bilingual are a plus but necessarily required

Job Duties:

• Provides treatment as directed and supervised by the Physical Therapist for patients on assigned caseload according to discipline standards
• Completes and submits all required documentation per company policy, including, but not limited to progress notes and case communication notes, etc.
• Assists in ensuring that all patient areas are properly cleaned and sanitized at the end of each treatment session
• Instructs patients and their families in the use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.)
• Observes, records, and reports any significant changes in the patient’s condition
• Cooperates with all team members to plan and carry out the best possible therapeutic program for assigned caseload
