Job Description Summary
The New Business Development Manager is responsible for developing a network of contacts within companies/organizations in the region as it relates to the MBA program and its portfolio of offerings. Research, plan, and implement new target market initiatives and promotional activities. Leverage the MBA programs alumni base through specialized events held at the VOALC and community outreach.
This is a part-time position; 25 hrs/week 10-month contract.
Job Description
The New Business Development Manager will travel on a regional basis to identify, solicit, and steward company partnerships that will cultivate referrals to our portfolio of offerings. In doing so, collaborating and coordinating with the FSB Director for Industry Partnerships through regularly scheduled meetings is critical. The New Business Development Manager will attend monthly chamber events, various business groups and industry associations throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, speak at member events to share the FSB’s portfolio of offerings while building brand awareness; assist with planning promotional events for the MBA program that provide both networking opportunities and value-added skill-based training for Miami alums and corporate partners; identify and attend HR benefit fairs throughout the region; assist with marketing efforts as it relates to events and company outreach; develop data analytics and benchmarking strategies to evaluate company outreach/alumni and its effectiveness with the referral program.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years corporate experience with 5 years of professional sales (broadly defined) experience; ability to travel at least 50% of the time to customer events in the region (typically Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus).
Consideration may be given to candidates with a Master’s degree, 10 years corporate experience, 7 years of professional sales experience; proven experience as key account manager; experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs; strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels; ability in problem-solving & negotiations; outstanding oral and written communication skills; commitment to collaborative approach to corporate and alumni relationship building; excellent organizational and marketing skills and attention to detail; professional experience and expertise needed to provide career related guidance/coaching to MBA students.
