Job Description

Job Summary:

This position involves working on a team that facilitates a variety of camp activities including The Tower of Faith which is a 60 foot challenge tower that has a zip line, a climbing wall, and a power fan; a Low Elements Course; Go-carts; Inflatable Games; etc..


Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years of age.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Available to work weekends/holidays.
  • Some, but not all, of the activities have age requirements and certification classes.
  • Collaboration, customer client focus, flexibility and stress management/composure.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak English well to effectively communicate and interact with team members and customers.
  • Need to be physically able to lift 50 pounds, and in some cases be comfortable with working at varying heights up to 60 feet off the ground.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate public relations with a positive and professional attitude, courtesy and tact.
  • Enforce all activity rules in a consistent manner.
  • Be alert to prevent accidents (risk management).
  • Identify potential accident hazards.
  • Respond quickly, intelligently, decisively and in accordance with established emergency and accident management procedures.
  • Communicate with other team members.
  • Be available to substitute for other team members.
  • Fill out appropriate reports.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Attend all in-service training.
  • Be willing to help in other areas of Camp as needed

Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner; to work as part of a team as well as to complete assignments independently; to take instructions from supervisors; to exercise problem-solving skills; and to interact with co-workers, supervisors, guests and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.

Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with guests, must remain calm under pressure and exhibit courtesy, diplomacy and kindness, both in person and through other communication avenues.

Employees must fulfill the performance standards of this position and comply with the policies, rules, codes and procedures of the Florida Conference including those set out in the Conference Working Policies, the North American Division Working Policies, or otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to employees.
