Job Description

HumCap's client, a health tech company based in Dallas, TX is looking to hire a Junior Fullstack Engineer for their team. The company is working on version two of their product, so you will be part of the core engineering team working on this project. This is a fully remote position for someone located in Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Implement well-defined features with guidance from senior developers.
• Fix minor bugs and address small UI issues.
• Write unit tests for their code, but may need guidance on proper test coverage.
• Follow established coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and take feedback constructively.
• Work on simple API integrations and frontend-backend data flow.
• Learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of both frontend and backend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript with React on the frontend; Python on the backend).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and basic CRUD operations.
• Able to write simple SQL queries and work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORMs (e.g., Sequelize, SQLAlchemy, Entity Framework).
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
• Can build simple UI components but may struggle with performance optimization.
• Familiarity with basic authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth)
