Job Description: Economic Consulting Analyst
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detailoriented Economic Consulting Analyst to join our consulting team. In this role you will work with clients to analyze economic trends evaluate market conditions and provide datadriven insights that inform business strategies and decisionmaking. You will contribute to projects across a variety of sectors including finance healthcare technology and public policy helping clients address complex economic challenges and achieve their objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Economic Analysis and Modeling:
- Conduct detailed economic analyses using quantitative and qualitative data to support client projects.
- Build and maintain economic models forecasts and simulations to analyze market trends evaluate policy impacts and assess business strategies.
- Analyze and interpret macroeconomic and microeconomic indicators to identify opportunities and risks for clients.
Data Collection and Insights:
- Gather clean and analyze large datasets from public and proprietary sources to support project objectives.
- Use statistical and econometric tools to identify trends patterns and relationships in the data.
- Translate complex economic data into actionable insights and clear concise findings for clients.
Research and Market Assessment:
- Conduct research on industry trends competitive landscapes and regulatory developments to inform client strategies.
- Evaluate the economic impact of industry changes policy decisions or market disruptions.
- Benchmark client performance against industry standards and provide recommendations for improvement.
Client Engagement and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive reports presentations and dashboards that communicate economic findings and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with senior consultants to deliver highquality client presentations and ensure alignment with client goals.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to discussions on economic challenges and solutions.
Policy and Regulatory Impact Analysis:
- Analyze the economic implications of regulatory changes and public policy decisions for businesses and industries.
- Assist clients in navigating complex economic and regulatory environments providing guidance on compliance and strategic responses.
- Conduct costbenefit analyses to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of proposed policies or business initiatives.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of analysis and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools methodologies and best practices for economic consulting.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate economic insights into broader business strategies.
Qualifications: Educational Background:
- Bachelors degree in Economics Finance Business Statistics or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with coursework or experience in econometrics data analysis and policy analysis.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in statistical and econometric software (e.g. Stata R Python SAS) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver clear insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Familiarity with macroeconomic and microeconomic concepts and their application in realworld scenarios.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets and databases.
