Job Description

Southeastern Equipment is looking for a sales savvy person to communicate with our customers and generate excitement at theprospect of new equipment! NO experience in sales is necessary but a great attitude, willingness to provide timely communication over the phone is a MUST. Potential growth opportunities in outside sales are available. REMOTE OPPORTUNITY BUT MUST BE IN SOUTHEASTERN EQUIPMENT TERRITORY (OHIO/KY/MI/IN/WV). TRADE SHOW ATTENDANCE WILL BE REQUIRED. Direct Sales Representative Primary Responsibility Summary Primary purpose is to be the first touchpoint for customer experience and sales opportunity generation. Daily activities involve responding to leads from marketing channels, cold calling inactive accounts and leads, prospecting within territory, attending tradeshows, and updating records in internal and external databases. Reporting Structure Reports to DSR Team Lead Travel Requirements Reimbursed travel as needed (tradeshows, demos, training) FLSA Classification Non Exempt Metrics Accountable Logging Activities Following up on all leads within one hour during the week (Weekend leads deadline of 10AM on Monday Responsibilities Contacting marketing leads and logging an activity within 1 hour of submission. Leads submitted over the weekend will need to be followed up by 10AM on Monday. 1 Hour leads: Southeasterns Marketing website and vendor submitted leads Mass data lists will have individual timelines to that group Scheduling follow-up calls resulting in timely and helpful information that results in a written sales opportunity and warm pass off to sales team Cold calling and prospecting using internal and external databases (i.e. Salesforce, EDA, Hubspot, purchased data lists, etc.) Inputting, updating, and maintaining customer records in internal databases Assigning written sales opportunities to the proper marketing campaign to maintain reporting accuracy Pass along all relevant leads to branch service and parts staff. Will need to follow up with the staff member to collect information, fill out a written sales opportunity, and tag with the appropriate campaign Follow up with sales staff to ensure that written opportunities are worked and completed. If sales staff cannot make contact, DSR should take back the lead and continue making contact Setting up, attending, collecting leads, and dismantling local tradeshow as required Special projects as assigned Traveling to other branches as required Upholds Southeastern Equipments Values, Vision, and Culture Values and Mission Upholds Southeastern Equipments Values, Vision, and Culture. Educational and Experience Requirements Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and the ability to listen carefully Obsessively organized coupled with the ability to multi task Familiar with CRM software like Salesforce Basic mathematical skills and the ability to use a calculator Minimum of High School diploma or GED, some college preferred Knowledge of heavy equipment is a plus Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work is typically performed within a store environment and at a desk. The employee will be occasionally required to lift 5-10 lbs overhead. The employee is expected to be able to sit for long periods of time and operate a motor vehicle occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, kneel, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk and listen. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision. The ability to operate a computer and cell phone is required. Compensation package includes: Hourly wage plus a per call completed bonus of .50 cents. Full benefits!
