Position Overview
As the CMO and Chief DTC Officer, you will play a pivotal role during a transformative era marked by our recent public offering and strategic acquisitions, including the notable addition of Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards in 2024. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be instrumental in shaping and leading our comprehensive marketing and brand strategies, particularly focusing on enhancing our direct-to-consumer operations, which include vibrant destination retail tasting rooms and dynamic wine clubs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning: Partner with the CEO and executive team to refine and implement the company's strategic vision. Develop and drive forward-looking marketing and branding strategies informed by market insights and trends.
Marketing & Brand Positioning: Craft and execute innovative marketing campaigns that underline our unique value proposition and establish each brand within our portfolio as a benchmark in luxury wine.
Product & Market Innovation: Spearhead product development and market expansion efforts, encouraging a culture of innovation and strategic marketing within the team.
External & Internal Communications: Support the CEO with media engagements and internal communications, and manage brand positioning with key industry players to enhance our market presence and reputation.
What You Bring to the Table
Over 15 years of experience in strategic marketing leadership, preferably within the luxury lifestyle or beverage sectors.
Demonstrated ability to drive growth, market positioning, and brand equity through innovative strategies.
Profound expertise in customer acquisition and retention, enhancing brand loyalty with a focus on generational marketing.
Strong business acumen and a data-driven approach in marketing ROI and performance metrics analysis.
In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and technologies, including SEO, PPC ads, social media, and content marketing.
Exceptional communication skills and adept at relationship building across various stakeholder groups.
Educational background in marketing, business, or related fields; an MBA is highly preferred.
