Job Description
MDLE is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, technology-focused Mid-to Senior Level BIM Specialist to become an integral component of our dynamic and growing team in Charlottesville, Virginia. The Charlottesville office is comprised of architects and engineers focused on growing our successful service in the federal marketplace for clients all over the world. This position is expected to begin as soon as possible. As a BIM Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting project teams through the application of BIM and GIS technologies as well as Digital Twin applications for DoD design projects. The BIM Specialist will leverage strong knowledge of AEC industry standards, tools, and practices to support and improve workflow collaboration and efficiencies throughout Digital Delivery including Design, Construction, Asset Management and Capital Planning.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Produce timely and accurate detailed drawings while understanding construction techniques.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to review job requirements and manage changes in drawings.
Maintains current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques.
Devotes time to research new and upcoming technologies.
Assists in complex modeling setup and analysis, data management, and/or optimization for 2D-6D digital workflows.
Assists in coordinating support between external vendors/subconsultants and internal staff.
Monitoring and maintaining project-level data and associated workflow (i.e., model coordination, collaboration, model federation, model health, LOD compliance, and clash management) in alignment with project scope including routine data validation checks for compliance to BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project standards
Drive standardization of BIM processes and tools within the delivery team
Support Model Review and Clash Management sessions with the Digital Delivery and AEC consultants
Conducting project-specific required training and talent upskilling per identified needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and interest in BIM/3D Modeling
Experience with a variety of BIM software, including but not limited to Revit, Civil 3D Navisworks, BIM360/ACC Design Suite, and MicroStation
Relevant work or internship experience
Knowledge in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques
Python Scripting
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
Familiarity with Autodesk Revit API & Dynamo, as well as Grasshopper for Rhino
Knowledge and experience in the disciplines within the emerging Digital Twin industry
Ability to meet deadlines, ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Additional Information
**U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**
This position is for someone living in Charlottesville, Virginia. Work is expected to be a combination of in-office and at home remote work. Will consider remote hiring for the right candidate. REMOTE must be located in the EST or CST time zone of the United States.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $57,500 - $83,500. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate. Job Type: Full-time or Part Time
