Summary Amazing Childcare and Learning Academy is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education with a focus on kindergarten readiness. Our program utilizes a state-approved curriculum and offers monthly enrichment activities. We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Preschool Art Teacher to join our team and inspire our 2 through 5 -year-old students through hands-on, STEM-focused art projects.
The Preschool Art Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic art curriculum that integrates STEM concepts and age-appropriate learning. This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in young children through engaging and interactive art projects. The ideal candidate will be able to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and hands-on learning.
Duties - Design and implement a variety of creative art projects that incorporate STEM concepts and are appropriate for 3, 4 and 5-year-old students.
- Plan and conduct daily art lessons that align with the academy?s state-approved curriculum and educational goals.
- Create a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning and creativity.
- Encourage children to express themselves through art while also teaching foundational skills and concepts.
- Integrate hands-on learning experiences that support children?s development in areas such as fine motor skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Foster an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to coordinate activities and share resources.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring that all materials are used safely and responsibly.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child?s progress and upcoming art projects.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and STEM integration.
Requirements - Associate's or Bachelor?s degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or a related field, but not required.
- Previous experience teaching art to young children, preferably in a preschool setting, but not required
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Ability to develop and implement a creative curriculum that integrates STEM concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification
Nice To Haves - Associate's or Bachelor?s degree in Early Childhood Education, Art Education, or a related field.
